The iconic Glasgow nightclub, The Garage, has completed a new mural honouring other venues that have shaped the nightlife of the city.

The Garage has installed a new mural on its side wall showcasing many of the city's grass roots music venues.

The mural has several clubs embroidered into each letter of the city, in hopes to inspire everyone to keep the Glasgow music scene alive and kicking.

Hayley Robinson, marketing and events manager at Glasgow Garage said, “We know that the industry is currently experiencing challenges and want to remind people of how vibrant our city can be.”

‘G’ shows the neon lights of the Barrowlands, a stage ventured by many acts over the years such as David Bowie and the Foo Fighters.

The ‘L’ has the legendary St Vincent Street venue King Tuts - which started out Lewis Capaldi and Gerry Cinnamon.

‘A’ has Garage’s fellow Sauchiehall Street veteran Box, ‘S’ has Nice n Sleazy and nightclub Cathouse, known for its Rock gigs. The ‘W’ looks to the future of the industry with SWG3.

Robinson also said the mural is “meant to inspire both locals and visitors to discover what Glasgow has to offer!”
