Inside Rod Stewart's son's wild Croatian wedding as exes reunite and singer serenades room

Rod Stewart has spent the weekend celebrating with his family at his son's wedding in Dubrovnik, Croatia and it looked like a lively big family affair.

The 79-year-old rocker was in high spirits as he joined all eight of his children to witness his son Liam, 29, marry his long-term love Nicole Artukovich at St. Ignatius Church in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on Friday.

Rod Stewart, famed for his hit 'Sailing', revelled in the festivities, reports the Daily Record.

Accompanied by his wife Penny Lancaster, who dazzled in a lilac satin dress featuring a bold thigh-high split, the wedding was a harmonious occasion despite the presence of Rod's ex-wife Rachel Hunter, Liam's mother. The entire Stewart clan, including Sarah, Kimberly, Ruby, Renee, Sean, Alastair, and Aiden, were seen enjoying the nuptials as they toasted to Liam and Nicole's union in what was described as a heartfelt and merry celebration.

In anticipation of the big day, the groom took to social media to share moments leading up to the ceremony, including a snapshot with his father Rod at the Hotel Excelsior in Dubrovnik. Captured by his sister Ruby, the photo showcased the striking resemblance between Rod and his son as they shared a drink, with Rod holding a martini glass and beaming with joy.

The caption read, "The Bhoys." Another candid shot featured Rod serenading the newlyweds with an impromptu piano performance.

The Maggie May singer later switched into a white blazer for the lively wedding reception, while ex-model Penny changed into a red dress. The couple celebrated their newlywed status with family and friends.

One social media post showed Liam dancing shirtless after apparently discarding his blazer and shirt. In another video, the bride and groom were lifted onto guests' shoulders in celebration of their nuptials.

Liam was also seen spraying drinks over the crowd as the party continued into the early hours.

Before the party really started, guests enjoyed a lavish reception just a short stroll from the church. They were entertained by a live band as they dined in a beautifully decorated stone corridor.

In the run-up to their big day, Liam and Nicole had a peaceful family holiday by the sea with their one year old son Louie, sharing touching photos on Instagram. "Soaking it all in just the two of us," she captioned a picture of their scenic spot.

Penny even shared a photo of her and Rod's ex wife Rachel Hunter as the day after the wedding marked Rod and Rachel's daughter Renee's birthday.
