Love Island fans are convinced Jacques O’Neill and Davide Sanclimenti knew each other before going into the villa, after noticing some Instagram comments between them from weeks ago.
Well, Love Island 2022 is really keeping us on our toes, isn't it? After last night's [19th June] shock recoupling and the brilliant petty moments, fans are now wondering whether Jacques and Davide are actually acquaintances already.
Davide, who is currently coupled up with Jacques' ex from outside the villa Gemma Owen, shared a gym photo back in January 2021. The caption read, "Dream Team 🏋🏻♀️"
And in amongst the thirsty comments from followers, there's also a comment from Jacques which people are suspicious about. Posted 73 weeks ago, it read, "You boys need to start training 🐷"
Davide replied, "@jacques9oneill_ more gym and less parties I guess 🤣🤣😘"
What is going on!? Did these two know each other before the show? Or was Jacques just a random follower of Davide? We've got questions.
This isn't the first person Jacques knew before heading into the villa - he was actually in a relationship with Gemma eight months ago. Alluding to their relationship in his bombshell interview, he said, "I split up with my ex and then I was seeing someone else. I was concentrating so much on my rugby and then I had that injury. I think it needs to be the right person, at the right time."
When asked for comment, ITV suggested Davide and Jacques’ paths may have crossed before the show.
