Investigation launched into burglary at North Yorkshire village home

A house burglary took place in a North Yorkshire village, and police are appealing for information.

It happened between Tuesday, March 26 and Tuesday, April 9, on the High Street in Gilling West, near Richmond, and involved a suspect entering the address via the backdoor and stealing a half sovereign coin on a chain and a photobook.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We’re particularly appealing for information about the whereabouts of the stolen items and any suspicious behaviour on the High Street between these dates.
