Pelosi rejects calls for Trump impeachment after Mueller testimony: 'We still have some outstanding matters’
Nancy Pelosi and other senior member of the Democratic Party, have rejected calls to move forward with Donald Trump’s impeachment, claiming they wanted to yet build a stronger case against the president.In a seemingly testy appearance before reporters just hours after Robert Mueller completed his testimony, the House speaker brushed off the idea proceeding with impeachment of the president - something many in her party have called for.“My position has always been: whatever decision we make in that regard would have to be done with our strongest possible hand, and we still have some outstanding matters in the courts,” she said.More follows…
Iran has reportedly seized a second British-linked tanker in the Persian Gulf.
The Liberian-flagged, UK-owned MV Mesdar was seen on a tracking service to have slowed before turning sharply toward Iran.
CNN cited a US official as confirming the second seizure.
It came after the Stena Impero oil tanker was seized by the Revolutionary Guard in the Strait of Hormuz.
There was no immediate word from the Guards about the second tanker. Mesdar‘s manager Norbulk said it was checking the report.
