Is Lindsay Lohan Getting Paid By The Turkish Government?

It’s been a very woke few months for Lindsay Lohan – the actress has been busy spending time in Southern Europe and the Middle East, raising awareness about the current refugee crisis occurring in Syria and the surrounding region.

All very good work that is A-OK with us, thank you very much.

But a recent post by the former child star has left some wondering if Lindsay’s become a little bit too close to the controversial Turkish premier, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

A recent report from the guys and gals over at Buzzfeed highlighted a recent Instagram post from La Lohan, in which she used the hashtag ‘the world is bigger than five’.

“Er, so what?” we hear you say. Well, as the Buzzfeed gang point out, it’s a favorite phrase of the Turkish president, which refers to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (The US, China, Russia, France and then us, the UK).

The president uses the term to slam the current council and promote the idea that the group should expand, and probably include Turkey.

Anyway, Lindsay has been using the phrase over and over again, before deleting all her Insta posts and leaving only the picture of herself with President Erdogan.

The same President that, some allege, staged a fake coup in his own country to crack down on the opposition.

Lindsay told reporters how greatly she admired his reaction to and handling of the coup, and told a pro-Erdogan news channel in Turkey that she thought the Security Council should be reformed.

She also deleted a post in which she praised the ruling party and urged people to vote the President in again.

Er, since when was Lindsay so obsessed with Turkish politics?

Is it us or is this all a bit random/getting a bit Illuminati?

Buzzfeed confirmed that Lindsay’s manager had not responded to their question about whether or not she was being paid to promote the President, so, for the time being, we’ll just have to assume she’s just really into Turkey… and its President.
