Italian Firefighter Shows Head for Heights to Mark Feast of the Immaculate Conception

A firefighter in Rome placed a floral wreath atop an 88-foot monument to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8.

Footage released by the Vigili del Fuoco, the Italian fire service, shows the early-morning ceremony, which is a tradition for the service.

The celebration involves a wreath being brought to the top of the Column of the Immaculate Conception in Piazza di Spagna.
