ITV bosses have made the decision to pull Britain's Got Talent from screens next weekend, in a bid to avoid getting in a 'ratings war' with the Eurovision Song Contest.

Next Saturday, May 11, will see the ITV talent show scrubbed from the schedule with the broadcaster choosing to instead show Bond film Casino Royale in its slot. Instead, BGT will return on Sunday night, May 12.

The upcoming weekend will see BGT return to screens for more auditions, following its return to screens last month. A total of four golden buzzers have already been handed out by the panel of judges.

Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli have already been left emotional and speechless at the talent across the country.

It's not the first time the show has been pulled from its usual slot to avoid clashing with Eurovision, with Chronicle Live reporting the Song Contest on rival channel at the BBC always pulls in more viewers.

Simon Cowell handed out a golden buzzer in the most recent episode last week to dance troupe Cyberagent Legit. The group, who travelled from Japan, will join the other golden buzzer acts straight through to the semi-finals.
