ITV The Chase fans 'recognise' contestant from popular TV shows

Many The Chase fans thought they "recognised" a player as the latest episode aired on ITV on Tuesday.

Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players to the studio and while they have never met before, they formed a team in the hopes of beating one of the UK's biggest brains and taking home some cash.

Suzi, Theo, Fey and Alan were up against Darragh Ennis, also known as The Menace. Suzi was up first and, after answering a decent four questions correctly during her cash-builder round, she took the middle £4,000 offer, before being caught by the Chaser.

Up next was Theo, a 24-year-old social media manager, but many viewers watching at home thought he looked like a famous TV star. On X, formerly Twitter, Ange said: "@Rylan in seat 2??"

Kay said: "He looks like a young Rylan" while Polly said: "Reminds me of Rylan". @R3TROBOY said: "Seat 2" and added a gif of Rylan hosting Celebrity Big Brother.

Sadly for Theo he had the same fate as Suzi, and was sent home empty-handed after being caught by The Menace.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
