ITV Coronation Street fans 'rumble' how Kit Green will get his revenge

Coronation Street enthusiasts have 'cracked' how Kit is planning to exact revenge on his biological mum Bernie.

Earlier this year, Bernie (played by Jane Hazlegrove) admitted she has a son whom she gave up for adoption nearly three decades ago. All Bernie knew was that his name was changed from Zodiac to Christopher Green shortly after his birth.

After finding him, it was unveiled that he was actually a detective who recently arrived on the cobbles: Christopher 'Kit' Green. Eventually, the truth about him being Bernie's biological son came out - but Kit (portrayed by Jacob Roberts) wanted nothing to do with her or her family.

Meanwhile, Bernie's twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) are oblivious to the fact they have another sibling.

Moreover, Kit played a role in getting Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a notorious criminal, imprisoned for the murder of Lauren Bolton. As fans will remember, the troubled young girl went missing earlier this year and is presumed dead, reports the Express.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Kit planted Lauren's DNA in paedophile Nathan's van and framed him. In reality, viewers discovered the truth about Lauren's disappearance: she was actually beaten to death by solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

And during Monday's episode (July 1), despite promising Bernie they would reveal the truth to the twins together, Kit went behind her back and dropped the bombshell without her.

Gemma and Paul were left shocked at the revelation - and when she arrived, Bernie was appalled to see them all together.

In a bid to stir trouble, Kit managed to air his grievances without Bernie being able to intervene. He then observed as Gemma and Paul took their mum to task, following his accusation that she was willing to leave him behind in his youth.

Corrie enthusiasts are now suggesting that the drama involving Kit and Bernie is far from over, with some speculating that Kit might try to pin a crime on his mum as part of his vengeance plot.

On a Reddit thread, one viewer questioned: "What's Kit's game here? ! " To which another responded: "Get back at Bernie probably make Paul hate her and not be able to forgive her :(."

Meanwhile, on X, previously known as Twitter, another fan declared: "Right that's it! Kit is officially a wrong 'un! " Another speculated: "I think he's going to frame Bernie for a crime or something, the ultimate payback."

Another chimed in with their theory: "He's not right this one. I think that Kit's in league with Joel. I've just got this feeling."

And yet another shared their unease: "Something's definitely not right about Kit. I've got a bad feeling about him."
