Jeff Brazier says 'I had to explain' to Strictly Come Dancing star son Bobby as fans react to emotional photo

Jeff Brazier left fans with tears in their eyes as he shared what he had to explain to his eldest son Bobby while posting a picture of the Strictly Come Dancing star and his younger brother, Freddie, as little ones.

The TV presenter was no stranger to the ballroom when his actor and model son took to the floor for several weeks alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell. Jeff was often seen in tears as he watched 20-year-old Bobby in awe as he made it to the final of the BBC One dance contest's 2023 series.

"And in some respects, you’re like, ‘Wow this is brilliant’ but there’s also a part of me that’s like, I just need to make sure… it’s impossible for him to stay on that trajectory I’d say…" He added: "There’s part of me that will always worry about what happens when he gets that bump in the road? This industry, it’s not easy. Everybody sat at this table knows that and there will be highs and lows, so that’s what I’m here for."

While the interest continues in his EastEnders star son as he returns to Walford and the catwalk, Jeff shared an emotional post in which Bobby and Freddie, 19, could be seen when younger. Jeff, 44, has played a prominent role in his sons' lives, after their mother, Jade Goody, sadly passed away from ovarian cancer in 2009, aged just 27.

Earlier this week he took to Instagram to share an old photo of his sons alongside which he explained: "I had to explain to Bob last night that the reason I just smile every time I see either of them is because this is what I see in front of me. I mean I see the men they’re becoming but mainly I just see my babies.

"I guess it’ll never not impress me that something so small and cute can grow into something so big and strong in what feels like a heartbeat but still retain that innocence and wonder."

Strictly dancer Dianne was quick to respond, writing: "The cutest boys with hearts of gold [red heart emoji]," before Jeff's fans and followers shared their emotional responses.
