Jennifer Aniston can do no wrong when it comes to serving up hair inspiration decade after decade. After all, the Friends alum single-handedly made the face-framing “Rachel” haircut the It style of the ‘90s. While the LolaVie founder has historically kept her sleek golden locks at a longer, collarbone-grazing length, she decided to go a little shorter this time with a modern reinvention of the Rachel in her latest magazine appearance.

The Murder Mystery actress showed off a fresh iteration of the iconic choppy, layered haircut in a profile published on April 10 as part of People’s 50th-anniversary issue. Aniston, who opened up about her early days in Hollywood filming Friends and the advice she’d give her younger self as an actress, wore a shoulder-length dirty blonde bob that was parted to the side and featured layers that curled in towards her face.

The star, who was joined by her Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon and other Hollywood icons like Nicole Kidman and Drew Barrymore in the issue, styled her spring chop with California girl basics: a rose pink ribbed tank top paired with a white sports bra, and gold jewelry, including a layered gold choker, a chunky bangle, hoop earrings, and a sparkly ring on her left ring finger. Aniston kept her beauty look understated, opting for nude pink lips, bronzed skin, and some mascara.

Aniston has been showing off increasingly shorter versions of her Friends-era ‘do since stepping out in January at the 29th Critics Choice Awards, the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, and the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards – and her latest look plays into spring 2024’s hottest hairstyle trend.

The actress joins stars like Sydney Sweeney, Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, and Selena Gomez, who recently made the chop for shorter, chin and shoulder-grazing lobs. It looks like the modern "Rachel" is here to stay.
