Princess Charlotte is officially nine years old! The young royal celebrates her birthday on 2 May – and the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account just shared a super sweet picture to mark the special occasion. But it's not the Princess of Wales' photography skills that has everyone talking, lovely though the snap may be.
In fact, everyone's commenting on just how much Charlotte looks like her dad, Prince William, in her birthday portrait. A springtime picture, the image shows a beaming Princess Charlotte posing among flowers, and she looks remarkably similar to her dad as she grins for the camera.
Reacting to the image, fans were quick to point out the likeness.
"William said copy and paste," one commenter joked. "She's his mini all the way," a second agreed.
"So like her dad," someone else penned. Elsewhere, another wrote, "She is, undoubtedly, the spitting image of [Princess] Diana and Prince William," before wishing Princess Charlotte a happy birthday.
Of course, it's been a busy few weeks in the Wales' household. Just last month, the family marked Prince Louis' sixth birthday. In keeping with tradition, the royals also shared a picture of the youngster, again taken by Kate Middleton.
Here's hoping all the children are enjoying the celebrations, with lots of cake to go around!
