Chart-topping music sensation Jess Glynne stopped by for a chat with Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond on Friday's episode of This Morning. She discussed her first new album in six years and also looked back at her Glastonbury experiences.

Glynne performed on The Pyramid Stage in 2016, having been forced to cancel a planned appearance the previous year. Reflecting on the experience on This Morning, the 34-year-old remembered her extreme nerves at taking on such a huge crowd.

The star explained that she had serious jitters as her performance began and eventually needed one of the members of her team to give her the push to make the performance happen.

Glynne said: "I remember walking up on stage at Glastonbury and I was with my team. I got up there and I heard the crowd and I saw them and I ran off and burst into tears.

"I was like 'I can't do it' and started crying. My hair stylist at the time literally slapped me on the arse and was like 'get up there now'."

Glynne explained that her hiatus from the music industry before new album Jess helped her fall in love with music all over again. She looked back at the pinnacle of her chart success, which put her in front of a huge crowd at Glastonbury.

"80,000 people. It's like, a lot. It's definitely a standout moment I will never forget. I was stood at the side of the stage and I was like 'there's not gonna be anyone there'," said Glynne.

Rather Be hitmaker Glynne stands as one of the most successful female solo artists in history, becoming the first British solo woman to secure seven number one singles. She's almost certainly destined for more success with the new album, which is available now.
