The Voice UK aired its fourth week of blind auditions on tonight's episode (January 23) as the judges continued to build their teams.

One contestant, Jamie Leigh Nelson, had a special connection to Little Mix – her cousin is former band member Jesy Nelson.

The 34-year-old from Essex said that after seeing Jesy pursue her career and work hard with Little Mix, she was inspired to apply for the show.

Jamie Leigh said: "My mum and dad aren't really musical so I don't know really where it comes from. There are people in the family that are definitely musical. One of my cousins is Jesy Nelson from Little Mix.

"I just see her work so hard. She really, really wanted it and she went out there and she got it. And it just made me think, do you know what, if she can do it, then I can do it. And they have done so, so well, so, I'm proud of her."

During her audition, Jamie Leigh sang N-Trance's song 'Set You Free' – she explained that some viewers may remember the song and that it was a difficult song to sing.

"The song I'm singing definitely will take some of the viewers back and there are some big notes in the song. So, obviously, it's always a worry hitting them notes. I'm going to go out on that stage and give it everything that I've got," she explained.

Despite her best efforts, Jamie Leigh didn't get any of the coaches to turn their chairs. However, she said that she really enjoyed the experience and that even though she didn't get a turn, she was still very proud of herself.

The Voice UK continues on Saturday at 8:30pm on ITV.
