Jobs up for grabs as The Range prepares to open new Northumberland store

A national retailer has started a recruitment drive as it prepares to open a new store in Northumberland.

The Range, which sells home, leisure and garden items, will be opening a store at Maiden's Walk, Hexham in September. The site was previously occupied by M&S.

Now, the retailer is looking for staff to fill a number of vacancies within retail, cleaning, operations and the warehouse. Roles being advertised also include a store manager, store operations manager and warehouse supervisor.

Recruitment events will be taking place throughout July ahead of the opening.

A spokesperson for The Range said: "A launch event, complete with customer giveaways, will be announced once the opening date is revealed.

"The new store, situated on the site of the town’s former M&S, aims to be a local one-stop-shop where the community can conveniently find everything they need under one roof, and at affordable prices.

"The store opening will also create new jobs in the area, providing a boost to the local retail economy.
