A Lincolnshire charity provided former model Jodie Marsh with a wheelchair for her paralysed lamb after it was attacked by a fox. Founder of the Pumpkin and Friends Charity, Tammie Fox, says Jodie called her for help in April following the attack which left Roxy the lamb unable to use her back legs.

The TV star runs an animal sanctuary in Essex called Fripps Farm which takes in any animals that need a home. Pumpkin and Friends Charity, based in Lincoln, was set up by Tammie to help disabled animals and is named after her own disabled Westie called Pumpkin.

Tammie said: "I've been a huge follower of Jodie Marsh and the animal rescue work that she does at Fripps Farm for a long time. Back in April of this year, she had a little baby lamb that was unfortunately attacked out in the field by a fox. It had lost the use of its back legs and Jodie rang me to ask if we could loan them a wheelchair, which we did.

"Jodie saw the amazing work that the charity does and invited me, Richard and Pumpkin to Fripps Farm for the day. It helped us to gain experience for when we open our Pumpkin and Friends animal retreat and respite centre which we'll be opening in 2025.

"It will be on a smaller scale than Fripps Farm for animals with disabilities and a respite centre for disabled animals so families can take holidays."

Tammie was left devastated earlier this year after being told Pumpkin couldn't go on a family holiday they were awarded on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. She said: "With the debacle we've just gone through with Saturday Night Takeaway, it's highlighted the fact that families who own disabled animals can't go on holiday because these animals can't go in kennels."

Tammie says that herself, Pumpkin and her partner Richard, who also runs the charity, had a great time at Jodie Marsh's animal sanctuary. She added: "This lady has devoted her entire life to help these beautiful animals and that's what we want to do.

"Pumpkin loved it there. A sheep called Vinnie was obsessed with her, I'm sure it thought that Pumpkin was a baby lamb. We met so many wonderful animals and she's such an incredible lady."
