Josie Gibson bags 'surreal' new job days after confessing she's 'in love' with Stephen Mulhern

Josie Gibson, the TV star who shot to fame after winning Big Brother in 2010, has landed a new role that she describes as a "surreal moment".

Last year, Josie participated in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, but her latest venture is quite different.

The 39 year old, who has remained a fan favourite and currently hosts This Morning, has become the new face of supermarket Iceland.

From Friday (April 19), Josie will be fronting Iceland's new TV adverts, introducing the store's updated slogan, "that's why we go to Iceland," replacing the previous "that's why mums go to Iceland".

Reflecting on her new role, Josie said: "I remember shopping in Iceland when I was a little girl, so it feels incredibly surreal to be working with them as the face of the brand.

"I love that Iceland is a great British business always doing the right thing for shoppers. I admire and support their commitment to bringing the best value products and deals to its customers.

"Shooting the ad and meeting the team was so much fun and I can't wait for people to see it."

Josie, prior to becoming the star of their advertising campaign, tried her hand at various roles in one of Iceland's stores.

The star-studded advert shows Josie loading up on all of Iceland's popular items and she will be featured over the next year, marking special occasions such as summer and Christmas.

Just recently, rumours swirled about a possible romantic link with Stephen Mulhern after the duo were seen hand in hand outside BBC Studios.

When queried by Mail Online about the duo's relationship, Josie confessed: "I'm in love with Stephen Mulhern. There you go. But story of my life, I don't think he loves me."

Following her break up with ex-boyfriend Terry, who is also the father of her six year old son Reggie-James, it was understood Josie was still single.

They began dating in 2017 and broke up five months after their son was born in 2018.

Josie had also been romantically linked with Big Brother co-star, John James Parton, with their romance lasting slightly less than a year post-show.

Back in 2012, Josie Gibson was engaged to Luke Sanwo within half a year of their first meeting.

However, by April 2015, the couple had disintegrated, with Josie revealing to New! Magazine that the passion which once united them was now "virtually non existent".

In stark contrast, Stephen has remained tight-lipped about his love life, though he did date EastEnders star Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell, in 2008.

Their romance blossomed during the panto production of Snow White in Birmingham, but ultimately fizzled out by 2011.

Fast forward seven years, and Stephen confessed to Celebs Now that he hadn't been on a date "in four years", lamenting: "That makes me sound really sad! I need a life. I need to stop working so much."

When asked about how often he has sex in an interview with The Sun, Stephen gave a very candid response as he admitted: "Not enough!"
