Kate Beckinsale has hit back at an Internet troll who said he’s ‘disappointed in her dating choices’ following speculation that she’s romantically involved with Pete Davidson.
Beckinsale has been pictured with Ariana Grande‘s ex-fiancé on numerous occasions, but the actress isn’t concerned about what her critics think.
Sharing a picture of herself on Instagram, Beckinsale hit back at a follower who took the opportunity to claim they were ‘disappointed’ in her for dating Davidson.
“Disappointed in your dating choices,” wrote follower @bobojackdaddy.
Beckinsale replied: “@bobojackdaddy fairly let down by your wonky beard but thought possibly rude to say.”
Rumours about Beckinsale and Davidson’s romance sparked when the pair were reportedly spotted flirting at the 2019 Golden Globes after-party.
Since then, they have been pictured holding hands at a comedy show after Davidson told jokes about his past engagement to Grande in his stand-up set.
This isn’t the first time Beckinsale has been criticised over her rumoured romance with Davidson, however. The Underworld star previously hit back at another follower who expressed their disapproval.
After Beckinsale shared a photo of of model mother Judy on Instagram, one follower randomly commented: “Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson.”
To which Beckinsale cheekily replied: “‘No that’s my mother. Easy mistake.’
Following his highly publicised split from Ariana Grande in October, Davidson confessed that he broke down in tears after posting a troubling message on his Instagram account that seemed to indicate he was contemplating suicide.
“I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore,” he wrote. “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.”
Beckinsale was married to Underworld film director and screenwriter Len Wiseman 2004-2016 and she has a 20-year-old daughter from a past relationship with Michael Sheen.
