Kate Middleton to make 'hurtful' change next week when Princess Charlotte turns nine

Kate Middleton will reportedly make a major change next week when Princess Charlotte turns nine. Following the Princess of Wales’ Mother’s Day photo being pulled due to editing fears, the Royal Family couple made a major change for Louis’ birthday.

And now Kate and Prince William could do the same for Charlotte, according to an expert. Kate's Mother's Day photo was pulled from agencies over editing fears back in March and earlier this week a photo was released on the official Instagram account for the Prince and Princess of Wales to mark Prince Louis' sixth birthday.

Now, royal experts say the public could get an official birthday photo of Princess Charlotte next week as she turns nine on May 2. Ingrid Seward, Editor in Chief of Majesty magazine, told Fabulous and the Sun newspaper's magazine this week: “When the Princess of Wales was attacked for editing her Mother’s Day family photograph, it hurt her deeply.

“She had been taking photographs of her children since their birth. After several photo agencies decided to drop her photoshopped Mother’s Day photograph, her hurt was such that together she and William decided if they were going to let the world see pictures of their children it would be on their terms.

“Now when they release a photograph it will be through their Kensington Palace offices, that way they have control. It is a small but necessary step forward towards protecting their family in the increasingly hostile world of social media and beyond.”

She said that the couple have so “much public support” and Kate is an “acknowledged amateur portrait photographer”. Kate is a mum to Louis, her youngest, as well as Charlotte, her only daughter. She and William are also a proud mum and dad to Prince George, their eldest, who was born following their marriage back in April 2011.
