Kate Middleton will not be attending the Tusk Awards tonight with Prince William, as previously planned, because something has come up regarding her kids.

The Duchess of Cambridge "is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children," a Kensington Palace spokesperson tells BAZAAR.com. The exact reason wasn't specified.

Prince William and Duchess Kate, who married in 2011, share three kids together: Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1. While attending the annual Royal Variety Show earlier this week, the duchess had them on her mind while speaking to fellow attendees.

According to one guest, Kate shared that her children "love performing at home," especially Princess Charlotte, who seems to be a fan of musical theater. And according to one of the performers, Kate revealed that her brood wanted to tag along for the evening show, but she told them, "not on a school night."

The Duchess of Cambridge last attended the Tusk Awards in 2018, when she dressed up in a teal, floor-length Jenny Packham gown.
