A man arrested over the alleged assault of Katie Price was re-bailed on Wednesday until next month.

The suspect was held after the TV star, 43, was allegedly hit in the face last month at her home in Little Canfield.

Essex Police confirmed his bail date has been extended until October while investigators continue to assess the case and whether to charge him.

A spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man arrested following reports of an assault in Little Canfield on 23 August has been re-bailed until next month.”

The man was previously bailed until September 20 after being arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Ms Price suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital after officers were called to her home at around 1.30am on August 23.

Pictures show the mum-of-five with a bruised face and a cut lip after she was allegedly attacked.

She told The Sun: “I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy and I went to hospital.

“I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.”

Ms Price claimed she ran away to her son Harvey’s house after being punched and she said she damaged her feet but she “can’t say any more”.

The celeb is a devoted mum to her five children - Harvey, 19, Junior, 16, Princess, 14, Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven.
