Katie Price called out for 'PR stunt' with son Harvey after alleged cocaine shame

Loose Women’s Katie Price has been blasted for what’s being described as a PR stunt, after being accused of using son Harvey as positive press after her alleged drug-taking.

Katie, 40, has been accused of taking cocaine as a means of coping with the demise of her third marriage to Kieran Hayler.

Now, since the allegations of her weekend antics, she’s shared a photo of her 16-year-old kissing her on the cheek with the caption ‘All you need is love.’

However, some aren’t buying her attempts to come across as a devoted mother after the news of her cocaine snorting made headlines and believe it’s nothing more that a PR stunt to get the public back on her side.

Some are suggesting that Katie’s using her eldest child, to sway public perception, especially when people commented on the black and white photo with opinions like ‘“Another token photo of the kids, PR stunt again after the cocaine release,’ and ‘Poor Harvey is used to the hilt when she wants positive press’.

‘Do you not think she should have learned after how many marriages to not do it all over again. Rather than snorting lines, she should be enjoying what time her mom has left. Not making headlines about being a drug user,’ another scathing followers said.

However, there were still a large chunk of Pricey fans who adored the photo of mother and child. ‘Harvey does adore his mum,’ and ‘Use every experience to learn and grow Kate, don’t keep going around in circles repeating the same old mistakes. Look to your children for happiness and fulfilment,’ and ‘Wishing you much happiness and deep reflection’, said another.

The TV presenter’s boozy antics were uncovered by the Sun, who allege the star ‘dabbled’ in drugs to help with the emotional pain of her cheating hubby.

‘Katie has admitted she dabbled in cocaine to numb her pain,’ their source said. ‘Her behaviour got a bit wild and she was boozing too much, and on a couple of occasions took cocaine. The drug is obviously quite widespread in certain social circles and friends introduced her to it.’

The insider also said: ‘She used it when she’d been drinking and it was her way of coping, to blot things out.

‘She was in a tough place emotionally, but knows that is no excuse. She is ashamed of what she did and has taken swift action to clean up her act.’
