Watch: Katie Price slams lack of Covid-19 checks at airport
Katie Price has criticised the COVID protocol for people entering the UK as she arrived back from holiday.
The reality TV star has been on holiday with fiancé Carl Woods and friends in Portugal — which is on the "green list" for countries for travel from the UK when restrictions after lifted on 17 May.
Price shared a video of her experience arriving back to Heathrow Airport at the weekend – complaining that there was "no one about" as they entered the passport control.
Travellers returning from green list countries must take a COVID-19 test before they set off, book and pay for a second COVID-19 to be taken two days after they return and complete a passenger locator form.
Price claimed that she and her friends were not asked to provide proof of a negative COVID test or show their passenger locator forms at passport control.
She added: "'All the measures that are supposed to be in place don't exist. They didn't ask to see our PCR test when we landed..."
Her group then proceeded to the Baggage Hall to collect their luggage.
Price commented on the other flights listed as arriving at the same time as her: "Some of them are on the amber list, who are due to come in this hall where we are now, which mean we're going to cross paths.
"Some of them need to quarantine – how does that work?"
She also showed that her baggage was returned on the same carousel as cases from Nigeria, an amber list country.
Passengers returning from amber list countries must quarantine at home for 10 days, regardless of whether they have had a negative result on their COVID test.
Price then said: "Now we're walking out of the airport and it's really quiet. Nothing like what we expected at all."
A government spokesperson told MailOnline: "Protecting public health is our priority and as we reopen international travel safely we will maintain 100% health checks at the border to protect the wider public and our vaccine rollout.
"We have automated processes in place to ensure 100% checks are completed, which passengers will only become aware of if they have filled the form out incorrectly.
"These checks were fully functional at the time of interaction with Ms Price, meaning full checks were conducted on her arrival."
