Kerry Katona confirms arthritis diagnosis in both hips after being in ‘so much pain’
The former Atomic Kitten star has had to take time out of her new fitness regime after suffering with unbearable pain.
Kerry Katona has opened up about her health struggles after being diagnosed with arthritis in both of her hips.
The former Atomic Kitten star has been regularly updating her fans on her health and fitness journey recently as she puts her body through a gruelling weight loss regime.
However, she has found herself having to step away from the treadmill admitting that pain has had her unexpectedly “out of action” in the last couple of weeks.

Taking to her Instagram page to address the issue she shared details of her struggle with the debilitating condition with her followers admitting the pain she has been experiencing has left her “in tears.”
Katona, 42, also told fans that she has recently found out she has a bulging disc in her spine and a fractured coccyx.
She said: "So I've been out of action because I hurt my back and my hips. So I have arthritis in my hips. Bear with me.
“Trying to do a workout, my hips are killing, so I'm not pushing it… I get these shooting pains in my legs like I'm getting an electric shock. And my god it really really hurts."

"Imagine a fly, and you want to pull its wings off, that's what I want you to do, pull my legs off, that's the pain I've been feeling, it's been horrendous. Horrendous. I had a massage, and I could not move. So I have literally stayed in bed.

Katona has previously admitted struggling with arthritis and chronic pain for years and embarked upon her latest health kick in a bid to lose weight and improve her general health.
She was diagnosed with arthritis in 2021 after 13 years of unexplained chronic pain.
At the time she announced the diagnosis to her followers in an emotional video on Instagram admitting she was “over the moon” to finally know what was wrong.
