Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has given an update on his transfer plans amid ongoing links with Liverpool.

A speculation storm has gathered around the 23-year-old with his agent and his father publicly at odds with Napoli over his next career steps. His representative, Mamuka Jugeli, this week declared that he wishes for his client to leave the Italian side this summer.

He underlined: “I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli.” His father, Badri Kvaratskhelia, reinforced this stance, adding: “I don’t want my son to stay at Napoli. They changed three coaches last season, and it’s hard to play in a similar situation.”

This prompted Napoli to release a strong statement, the club adamant that the player is not for sale this summer. It said: “Calcio Napoli reiterates that the player has a contract for another three years with the club.

"Kvaratskhelia is not on the market. It is not the agents or fathers who decide the future of a player under contract with Napoli but the club!!! [sic] End of the story."

Kvaratskhelia has now provided his own response, outlining his transfer decision timeline following Georgia’s 3-1 defeat to Turkey in the nation's first ever European Championship match on Tuesday.

He told Sky Italy: "I'm fine, I'm only focused on the national team. After the European Championships I will decide my future.

“Now I don't think about it, I just want to give everything I have on the pitch to help my national team. I don't think about what they say, I'm 100% focused only on Georgia.

Liverpool are just one of a number of clubs to be linked with a move for the Georgia international this summer. Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United have also all been credited with an interest in Kvaratskhelia.
