King's nephew Peter Phillips' dating NHS nurse one month on from splitting with ex
Peter Phillips, the nephew of King Charles, has been spotted with his new girlfriend, an NHS nurse, just a month after splitting from his ex. The son of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips was seen holding hands with Harriet Sperling at a horse event in Gloucestershire over the weekend.
The 46-year-old, who ended his three-year relationship with Lindsay Wallace last month, looked smitten as he strolled through the crowds with Harriet and his two daughters. Harriet, a paediatric specialist nurse and writer, looked radiant in a floaty blue dress as they joined other royals at the Badminton horse trials on Sunday.
Phillips, a business manager, was previously married to Autumn Kelly, with whom he shares daughters Savannah, 13, and Isla, 12. The couple announced their separation in 2020, having split the previous year.
He was seen sharing a warm greeting with Queen Camilla at the horse trials, although it's not clear if Harriet has met other members of the Royal Family yet. Phillips' sister Zara, 42, and her husband Mike Tindall, 45, were also present at the weekend event, reports the Mirror.
Onlookers at the equestrian event shared that the duo appeared to be thoroughly enjoying each other's company, strolling leisurely and soaking up the weekend's glorious sunshine. "He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world," an onlooker divulged to The Sun.
Peter, the eldest grandchild of the late Queen and reportedly her favourite, is a director at the sports management company SEL UK. He tied the knot with his now ex-wife Autumn in 2008, but after an 11-year marriage, they parted ways, finalising their divorce in 2021.
In the same year as his divorce, Peter began seeing Lindsay Wallace, who was a schoolmate of his sister Zara at Gordonstoun. However, by April it was public knowledge that the couple had split, with insiders suggesting the romance had simply 'run its course'.
Close acquaintances have also mentioned that Peter's extensive travel for work made it challenging for the pair to spend quality time together. A source revealed to Hello! magazine: "It obviously came as a shock as most people thought they were absolutely rock solid, it's very sad.
"Peter has been travelling all over the world and has been incredibly busy and Lindsay is based up in Scotland, so it's been hard for them to see each other."
