Kris Jenner makes a HUGE gaffe at the Oscars
And the award for most embarrassing gaffe on the Oscars red carpet goes to… Kris Jenner!
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star earned that dubious distinction for a puzzling turn of events that unfolded on live TV as part of E!'s red carpet coverage on Sunday (February 26).
Kris was providing red carpet fashion commentary for the network when she seemed totally perplexed by the blue ribbon worn by several stars to support the American Civil Liberties Union.

The American Civil Liberties Union has been on the front line fighting against US president Donald Trump's controversial travel ban, which opponents say discriminates against immigrants from Arab nations.
Kris clearly wasn't clued in on the cause when she spotted Best Actress nominee Ruth Negga wearing one of those ACLU ribbons, so she blurted out: "What is that blue thing she has there?"
She got her answers moments latter from the ACLU itself, which tweeted: "It's a ribbon that says you stand for people's rights, @krisjenner!"

Needless to say, that whole gaffe didn't go down well on Twitter:

Others who wore the Stand with ACLU ribbons on the Oscars red carpet included Lin-Manuel Miranda and his mother, as well as Karlie Kloss and Busy Philipps.
During one stop on the red carpet, Loving star Ruth Negga explained why she felt it was important to show support for civil liberties in the age of Trump.
"Our film features two American Civil Liberties Union lawyers who change the constitution of the United States for the better and I'm all for that," she explained to People.
Negga earned a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Mildred Loving, an African-American Civil Rights pioneer who was actually jailed because of her marriage to a white man.
