Kyiv Mayor Inspects Damage After Russian Strike Causes Injuries

A Russian missile injured at least 10 people, two of whom were taken to a hospital, when it struck a three-story building in the central Pechersk district of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, on Monday, March 25, officials said.

The damaged building belonged to the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design and contained a gymnasium, an assembly hall, and an exhibition center that were “completely destroyed,” according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture.

One of the two victims taken to a hospital was a 16-year-old girl who was later discharged, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who released this footage showing him observing the search and rescue efforts.

The other victims included two pregnant women who were experiencing acute stress in response to the strike, according to Suspilne, Ukraine’s public broadcasting service.
