Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid this summer could potentially provide a big double transfer boost to Liverpool over the coming weeks.

The French superstar will officially join the Spanish giants on July 1, following the expiry of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain. He is currently away on international duty with Les Bleus at Euro 2024, but will join up with his new teammates upon his return.

But it seems that his arrival at the Bernabeu could potentially cause some disruption. Brazilian outlet UOL claim that Real stars Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo have expressed their concerns over Mbappe’s arrival and the impact it will have on their game time in the new season.

The reports go on to say that it could lead to at least one high profile departure from the club this summer. This is where Liverpool could come in.

The Reds have been linked with an interest in Rodrygo ahead of the summer transfer window. If he is unhappy at Real Madrid then it could open the door for Arne Slot to make his move.

It is not likely to be a deal that is easy to do though with the Brazilian international under contract until 2028. He was a key player in Real Madrid’s Champions League success last season, meaning that a big fee would be required.

Looking away from Rodrygo, Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Turkish international Arda Guler. The 19-year-old has caught the eye with his performances for Turkey at Euro 2024, scoring a stunning goal in the 3-1 win over Georgia.

The arrival of Mbappe at Real Madrid means that Los Blancos may look to loan the teenager out this summer on the search for more regular first team football. Real Sociedad have been heavily linked, but the Reds could potentially get themselves in the race if they wish.

The attacking midfielder can play on either wing or in midfield. He made 10 appearances in La Liga for Real Madrid last season, scoring six goals.
