Kylie Jenner is reportedly being sued over claims she copied her Born To Sparkle liquid gold eye shadow from another make-up brand.

The 21-year-old launched the range as part of her birthday collection in August and has been blasted by Sheree Cosmetics who have accused her of copying the range.

At the time, Jenner revealed on Instagram: “G L A M! Born To Sparkle liquid shadow (bday collection), Champagne Showers highlighter (bday collection), Coconut lip liner with Bare Matte Lip, & New Blush Sneak Peeeeek!”

The company has reportedly claimed they were selling the same glitter eyeshadow a year earlier in October 2017 and are now believed to be taking the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star to court.

Speaking to DailyMail TV, the brand’s founder Tiffany Hermann explained that she filed the trademark for Born To Sparkle in a bid to “protect her business.”

She told the publication: “We are a truly self-made business and I wonder who was led to the wrong Born To Sparkle palette when searching for ours.

"As far as an outcome we just want to make sure that Born To Sparkle is protected and that what is right prevails

“I started this business from the ground up. It began in my kitchen and then I built a lab to make the products. I just want to protect what I've worked so hard for.

“We've been in business for just over a year. It's been so successful. We've seen our products used at the Oscars, the Emmys and New York Fashion Week. Model Rachel McCord is a huge fan of ours.”

Founder of Sheree Cosmetics, Tiffany Herrmann told the Standard: "We filed this suit to protect our own business and ideas. Our Glitter Palette, Born to Sparkle, was created in September 2017 and went live for sale on our website on October 2017. We were the first to enter the market with this concept.

"Kylie then released her own glitter eyeshadow (same product) named the same name, (Born to Sparkle) in 2018, long after ours, and proceeded to heavily market the same product with the same name, after ours was already on the market. As we were first to market with name and product, we knew we had to protect our trademark and stand up for our business.

"We would like to be sure our ideas for Born to Sparkle are protected and what we believe is fair prevails, and we hope this protects other entrepreneurs like us from future similar situations. This has been a true wake-up call as a businesswoman and in some ways a disappointing one. That said, I know I’m the visionary behind this brand, and excited to have the chance to keep creating new and innovative beauty products for our customers around the world. You can’t take the vision out of the visionary!

"This has been a challenge, but we knew we were going to stand up for our business since day one, and since then I’ve learned how strong we are, and how committed I am to this business and the beauty we are putting out into the world!"
