Kym Marsh to become a grandma for second time at 45

Kym Marsh has announced she is to become a grandmother for the second time at 45.

The Morning Live presenter — whose daughter Emilie Mae Cunliffe welcomed a baby boy in 2019 — is excitedly awaiting the arrival of her second grandchild as her son David Cunliffe and his fiancee are expecting.

Marsh, 45, wrote on Instagram: "I have been bursting to share this news for AGES!!!! I’m so very proud to announce I am gonna be a 'YaYa' again!!!

"My wonderful son @cunliffe890 and his equally wonderful fiancée @courtneyleac are expecting their first child in August! I am so very proud of you both and I cannot wait to meet my newest grandchild!! I love you all so much."

The former Coronation Street star became a mother to David at 19 and became a grandmother for the first time at the age of 42 when her daughter Emilie, 24, welcomed son son Teddy Archie David Hoszowskyj.

Teddy's middle name is a tribute to Marsh's late son Archie, who was born prematurely in 2009 and died moments after his birth.

Marsh also has a 10-year-old daughter Polly with her ex-husband, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas.

The past year has been an emotional rollercoaster for Marsh who married her fiance Scott Ratcliff in October.

The pair began dating in 2018 after being introduced by Marsh's Corrie co-star Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully.

Ratcliff is a soldier in the Parachute Regiment and is often posted away from home.

Meanwhile Marsh announced she has stepped back from the BBC’s Morning Live to look after her dad Dave who has been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer.

She said: "Trying to support my family, and working away was making that really difficult. There had to come that point where I just thought, I can't do this, I can't be away from my family. I need to make a choice here of what I'm going to do."
