Lady Gaga just won at makeup with her latest beauty look
Red carpets, in my opinion, call for a 'look'. Let's face it, nobody wants to see a plain LBD, subtle contouring and a nude lip on the red carpet – we're after glitter, glamour and magic. That's why I actually wake up early (and I literally NEVER wake up early) the day after the MTV VMAs – it's an outrageous red carpet and there's so much to see… There's a lot to try and unsee as well, but that's for a different article.
One celebrity who never fails to disappoint when it comes to the red carpet – and her appearance in general, to be honest – is Lady Gaga. Since she shot to fame, she has always pushed the envelope with her looks (must I remind you of meat-dress gate?) and I'm totally obsessed with her latest.
The singer and actress was the ultimate ice queen at the premiere of her first film, A Star is Born, on Monday night. The 32-year-old looked sensational in a silver lace gown and cape by Givenchy by Clare Waight Keller, but it was the makeup that really caught my eye.

She's clearly not afraid to break rules, and the star paired her silver gown with matching silver eyes – she wore a bold silver eyeliner in a feline flick and silver glitter all over the eyelid. Just to take the look up a notch further (understandably – it was way too subtle), she added a red lip.
There was so much going on but more is more and IT SO WORKED. I can't stop staring at her. I'm thinking this is the perfect festive makeup and I can't wait for the weekend to roll around so I can give this a go – stay tuned!
