If you are a first-time buyer wanting to step foot on the property ladder or a homeowner wanting to upsize, downsize or relocate, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the local house prices.

Greater Manchester as a region had an overall average house price of £256,755 over the last year, however, the cost of homes varies hugely across each of the region's 10 boroughs.

Knowing how much you are likely to be able to buy a home for in each area can help new buyers decide where is the most affordable to live, or give you a rough idea of how much you're able to sell your property for if you're a homeowner looking to move.
