A developer has announced a launch event for the hundreds of new homes being built in a Norfolk village.

Allison Homes East has revealed the launch event for its new Wootton Grange development being built in South Wootton, near King’s Lynn.

The development, off Edward Benefer Way, will consist of 450 homes including 12 one-bedroom properties, 58 two-bedrooms, 218 three-bedrooms, 138 four-bedrooms and 24 five-bedrooms.

Dozens of the homes will be affordable or for shared ownership in the development which is set to be completed in 2030, with the first homes due to be ready to move into in early 2025.

When the planning permission was granted in May 2022, 13 West Norfolk borough councillors voted in favour of the development, with two against and one abstention.

Some concerns were raised by locals about the number of trees that were cut down to make way for the houses when construction started late last year but the developers have committed to planting 390 trees, 2,750 shrubs and 6,750 hedge plants on the site.

Kelly Toms, sales and marketing director at Allison Homes East, said: “It’s very exciting to finally be launching Wootton Grange.

"We have put a lot of work and careful consideration into ensuring this development will be a wonderful place to live and we can’t wait for local property seekers to start finding their dream homes here.

“We expect to see a lot of interest in this area so I would highly encourage anyone who is interested to come along so they can secure their perfect home.”

The launch event will take place on the weekend of June 29 and June 30 at the development's marketing suite.
