Law Agencies Respond to Active Shooter in Panama City

Several law enforcement agencies responded to reports of an active shooter in a residential area of Panama City, Florida, on May 22.

Among those responding were the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

The WCSO confirmed the incident was connected to a suspicious death in Santa Rosa Beach. A body had been found in a home on White Heron Drive at around 10am, the WCSO said.

The WCSO’s SWAT team was also called in to assist, according to WEAR.
