Leeds United have announced their first summer friendly as they prepare for a second year in the Championship. Daniel Farke's team, beaten by Southampton in the play-off final last weekend, will lock horns with La Liga side Valencia CF as part of their preparations for the 2024/25 campaign.

The Spanish outfit will visit Elland Road on Saturday, August 3. Kick-off is 3pm and it is likely to be the Whites' final warm-up fixture before the big kick-off. The 2024/25 season is scheduled to begin on on the weekend of Saturday, August 10

A United statement read: "Leeds United are pleased to announce a pre-season friendly at Elland Road against La Liga side Valencia CF. Ruben Baraja’s side had a competitive 2023/24 campaign, finishing ninth in La Liga’s standings as they just missed out on European qualification.
