Lena Headey is the latest actress to come forward and allege that she was sexually harassed by disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein.

The Game of Thrones star, who plays Cersei Lannister on the HBO drama, recalled two separate incidents with Weinstein, one at a film festival and the other at a hotel.

"The first time I met Harvey Weinstein was at the Venice Film Festival," she wrote on Twitter.

Headey explained that at this event, the producer made a "suggestive" comment and gesture which left her shocked. She said that she made it clear to Weinstein that she was not interested in any way.

Years later, she met him again in Los Angeles.

Headey said that she thought the producer would respect her boundary, given the previous time they had met.

"He asked me to meet for breakfast," she recalled. "We ate breakfast, we talked about films, filmmaking. He asked me a few questions about the state of my love life. I shifted the conversation to something less personal."

Headey went on to say that Weinstein soon invited her to his room to give her a script.

"We walked to the lift and the energy shifted," she said. "My whole body went into high alert, the lift was going up, and I said to Harvey, 'I'm not interested in anything other than work. Please don't think I got in here with you for any other reason. Nothing is going to happen'."

She said that the producer was "silent" and "furious".

"We got out of the lift and walked to his room," Headey said. "His hand was on my back. He was marching me forward, not a word. I felt completely powerless."

The Game of Thrones actress explained that then Weinstein's key card did not work.

"He walked me back to the lift, through the hotel to the valet, by grabbing and holding tightly to the back of my arm," she said. "He paid for my car and whispered in my ear, 'Don't tell anyone about this, not your manager, not your agent'.

"I got into my car and I cried."

Headey joins numerous stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan, Cara Delevingne, Ashley Judd, Kate Beckinsale, Lea Seydoux, Eva Green, Rosanna Arquette, Heather Graham, Jessica Barth and Lysette Anthony who have made sexual harassment allegations against Weinstein.

Weinstein, who has been fired from his own company, has "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual sex. Investigations are under way by both US and UK police.
