Liverpool continue to be linked with potential new signings as the summer transfer window rolls on.

The Reds are yet to make any new additions to their squad but there is plenty of time for that to change in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen what areas of the squad new head coach Arne Slot will look to strengthen ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

Centre-back could be a position that sees reinforcements this summer, following the departure of Joel Matip. Midfield could also see new arrivals with Thiago Alcantara leaving the club this summer.

Rumours are continuing to swirl about the new players that could be signed. Two of the latest pieces of speculation concern two centre-backs that could move to Anfield.

Lille defender Leny Yoro continues to be a target for Liverpool. According to Caught Offside, though, Paris Saint-Germain are making moves to try and sign the centre-back.

The report claims that PSG are looking to move ahead of Real Madrid to sign Yoro this summer. It has been stated that the Ligue 1 club have "gained ground" in their efforts to try and beat Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United to his signature.

Elsewhere, Liverpool may have been dealt a blow in their efforts to try and sign Stuttgart defender Waldemar Anton. The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing the centre-backs in recent days.

According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are "pushing hard" to try and sign the defender this summer. The report claims that Xabi Alonso has already made multiple attempts to try and agree a deal with Stuttgart to sign Anton, with negotiations ongoing over a contract with Leverkusen.

It has also been claimed that Anton has a €20 million to €25 million (£17m-£21m) release clause in his contract at Stuttgart. The centre-back captained the club to second place in the Bundesliga table last season to finish ahead of Bayern Munich.
