Tributes have poured in for a "one in a million" young mother who was stabbed to death after an "altercation" involving two vehicles.
Levi Davis, 25, was knifed outside her home in Rushden, Northamptonshire, at about 8.30pm on Saturday.
Paramedics battled to save her but she died at the scene.
A man aged 27 arrested on suspicion of her murder remains in police custody in hospital.
Another 27-year-old man, Jake Dean Swords, of Rushden, has been charged with the attempted murder of the murder suspect.
Swords will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning.
Tributes poured in for Ms Davis on her Facebook page.
One person wrote: "RIP Davis girl, you one in a million. You didn't deserve this. Fly high beautiful. Thoughts are with your family and your babies."
Another woman added: "Not fair you were taken way to soon, in our home town as well. Girl you'll get justice."
A woman visiting the scene to lay flowers, told the Northamptonshire Telegraph: "Our daughters are in the same class. I found out yesterday afternoon, my partner saw it on Facebook.
"She was just always smiling and laughing and had such a good sense of humour and she was a brilliant mum.
"I felt I had to come up, we’ve only known each other for 18 months but we used to spend a lot of time together in the school holidays. It’s so sad."
Superintendent Dennis Murray said Ms Davis died after an "altercation" when two vehicles stopped at the junction of Wellingborough Road and St George's Way.
"We do know that those two vehicles were involved in some sort of ongoing altercation driving along the road," Supt Murray said.
He added: "My understanding from what we know so far is everyone involved in this incident knew each other. I do not believe at this time that it was a random attack but we remain open-minded."
Supt Murray said the two vehicles involved in the incident were a black Volkswagen Polo and a white Vauxhall "van-type vehicle".
He said a 13-year-old boy arrested over the incident had been "ruled out of the inquiry" and released with no further action.
