Liam Gallagher might take up dance lessons to prepare for his wedding, but would never join Strictly Come Dancing as viewers might “take the p***.”

In a characteristically outspoken appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air on Saturday, the former Oasis singer said that he is “not into” the BBC show - but admitted that he could seek out dance training before tying the knot with Debbie Gwyther.

Discussing his first dance with Gwyther, Gallagher, 46, said: “Yeah, I might have to take up dance lessons. I fancy just freaking everyone out, doing a slide across the floor.

“Like what they do on Come Dancing, when they get up close and do the business.”

When pressed by Ross about whether he would consider appearing on Strictly, the musician said: “No, no, no… I’m not into that stuff man. I’ll do it for the wedding, but I’m not doing it for everyone else to take the p***.

“I’ll do it once and once only.”

As Ross implied that the star might “get the [dancing] bug,” Gallagher quickly shut him down by suggesting that he would rather “drink loads of Guinness.”

“I doubt it man, my hips are not as good as they used to be,” he said. “I do run every now and again, but I also go to the pub and drink loads of Guinness… I run to the pub and drink the Guinness.”

Addressing his ongoing feud with his older brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel, he said: “He says s***, I say s***... it all gets a bit out of hand. We just need to grow up, I guess. Ball’s in his court.

“I think we’re both being unreasonable,” he added.

He went on to reveal that he is “ready” for an Oasis reunion, telling Ross: “I’m ready to go. I’m ready to have a good time again, man.”

Gallagher will be joined on the show by Michelle Keegan, Sean Bean and comedian Rose Matafeo.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday September 21 at 10.30pm on ITV.
