Oasis reunion suggested by Liam Gallagher as he says he 'forgives' brother Noel

Liam Gallagher has suggested an Oasis reunion while also mocking his brother Noel in a tweet.

The Britpop icon poked fun at his sibling’s apparent decision to play in dry venues before adding: “Let’s get the BIG O back together.”

He tweeted: ”Earth to noel listen up rkid I hear your doing gigs where people can’t drink alcohol now that’s the BeZarist thing you’ve done yet I forgive you now let’s get the BIG O back together and stop f****** about the drinks are on me LG x”.

It was not immediately clear whether the singer was being serious in his offer.

He added in a second tweet: “Cmon”.

The rivalry between the brothers is as famous as their music, and led to Oasis’ split in 2009. They were known for arguing on stage.

Noel Gallagher said last year he believed the long-running feud had begun when he was 15. He came home drunk and accidentally urinated on his brother’s new sound system, he told radio host Howard Stern.

When the guitarist and lead songwriter finally quit in August 2009, he said: ”It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.

“People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

The pair have traded barbs ever since but reunion hopes were raised at Christmas 2017 when Liam Gallagher wished Noel a “happy Xmas”.

The singer had said a month earlier: ”I don’t want to be solo. I don’t want to do it on my own – I’m not a guitar player or a prolific songwriter.”
