Celtic have apparently included Liam Kelly on a list of potential summer signings between the sticks.

Joe Hart will hang up his gloves after the Scottish Cup Final on May 25 and Brendan Rodgers is on the hunt for a new no 1. Scott Bain is the established backup option at Parkhead while Benjamin Siegrist looks to be on his way out, with Aberdeen thought to be keen on the ex-Dundee Utd man.

Now the Daily Mail reports that Kelly is one option being considered by the champions. The Motherwell goalie is battling to be included in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for Euro 2024 alongside Hearts pair Craig Gordon and Zander Clark, with Angus Gunn first choice since Gordon's horror leg injury. His domestic future remains uncertain with his Fir Park contract up in a few weeks. Kelly has come in for criticism this season after some costly errors, but is well known to Hoops goalkeeping coach Stevie Woods.

The lack of a transfer fee is thought to appeal to Celtic and Kelly's homegrown status would be helpful when it comes to registering players for European competition. There is also interest from England however, with Kelly weighing up his options.

Steelmen boss Stuart Kettlewell hasn't ruled out keeping Kelly, but it looks increasingly likely he'll be leaving North Lanarkshire this summer. Kelly started his career across Glasgow at Rangers, before cutting his teeth with Livingston. He moved on to Queen's Park Rangers from West Lothian, but 18 months in London brought just 19 appearances for the Loftus Road club and he returned to the Scottish Premiership with Well in January 2021.
