Liam Payne may be less than a week into fatherhood – but he’s already clearly not a fan of nappy changing.

The former One Direction singer, 23, is proving to be a hands on father to his newborn son, and is fast realising the realities.

Payne admitted in the early hours of the morning that his son is getting through a lot of nappies.

He tweeted a gif of Ross Geller from Friends yelling ‘No! No, no!’ alongside the caption: “When the fourth nappy happens in 5 minutes.”

Fans were amused by his reaction with one tweeting: “Welcome to parenthood.”

Another wrote: “You've been a dad for like 5 days.... relax, things only get worse hahaha SORRY (sic).”

A third told him to seek advice from his former band mate Louis Tomlinson: “Your mate Louis can relate.”

The post came hours after he thanked fans for their support, tweeting: “Thank you to everyone for the love and supportive messages for myself and @CherylOfficial. It really means a lot.”

Payne and Cheryl welcomed their first child together on Wednesday, March 22.

They announced the birth on Instagram by sharing a picture of Payne cradling their newborn.

Cheryl wrote: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream.

“Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.

“Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.”

The celebrity couple are reportedly planning to keep their son out of the spotlight.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “They've always been a very private couple and they want their son to remain private as well. They don't want him to be in the spotlight at all.

“They want him to grow up away from the cameras.”
