You know the new season is nearly upon us when clubs start releasing their new kits. It's an exciting part of the summer for fans as they wait to see what their team will be playing in for the coming campaign.

Cliftonville were one of the first Irish League clubs to show off their new strips. It's fair to say the offerings from new kit supplier O'Neill's have gone down well with the Reds fanbase.

Linfield's new home kit for next season went on sale on Thursday morning. Produced by Italian sports manufacturer Macron it features a royal blue base with a white pinstripe, white shorts and red socks emblazoned with the new official club sponsor Ready Construction.

The new kit however has received a mixed response from fans so far. Several posts online suggest it may not be to everyone's liking just yet.

"No harm to you Blues, but that's an awful looking shirt, absolute monstrosity," posted @IJW_RFC_55. @kyle_mcguiggan echoed those sentiments posting "Now release the real one."

@MBlueman1 didn't hold back with his opinion posting: "Worst home kit I can ever remember!" @JayWalker229616 added: "Why cant we keep things simple?"

Other fans were impressed with the new kit. "Take my money," posted Harrison on 'X'. @RangersAbout agreed posting: "Cracker." Peter Moore added: "Best kit we’ve had in a load of years, even a nice looking sponsor."

For Jordan McKay though only one thing is important: "Not for me. But if they’re lifting trophies in it who cares what it looks like?" Football is all about opinions as they say!
