Linfield have confirmed that Kirk Millar has undergone a successful minor medical procedure following the end of the season. The Blues said the procedure was to fix an "ongoing issue" with the player expected to be back in time for pre-season.

"The club can confirm that Kirk Millar has undergone a minor medical procedure on his legs to fix an on-going issue that has been bothering him throughout the last number of seasons," a club statement said. "The procedure was successful and we send our best wishes to Kirk for his recovery in getting ready for pre-season."

Millar, who has made over 400 appearances for the Blues, penned a new two-year deal before the end of the last campaign. It will take the winger into his tenth season at Windsor Park and his testimonial year.

Meanwhile, Daniel Finlayson will link up with his former Linfield teammate Matthew Clarke after the defender confirmed he was also signing for Scottish Championship outfit Livingston. Both players confirmed they were leaving the Blues at the end of last season following the expiration of their contracts.

Another player who could be on the move is Ballymena United's Scot Whiteside after the Sky Blues confirmed the defender had submitted a transfer request. Elsewhere Seanna Foster and Jamie Robinson have confirmed their departures from Cliftonville.
