Liverpool are rivalling Juventus in the race to sign Atalanta midfield pairing Ederson and Teun Koopmeiners, according to reports.

Both players were among the standout members of the Italian side as they guided the club to a historic Europa League triumph. Ademola Lookman scored a hat-trick to beat Bayer Leverkusen, handing Gian Piero Gasparini's side their first trophy in 61 years.

Koopmeiners has been frequently linked with a move to Merseyside and reports have accelerated with the arrival of Arne Slot. Slot and the 26-year-old worked together at AZ Alkmaar where he played over 50 matches for the Dutchman, including making his debut in Europe as a 21-year-old.

Meanwhile, Ederson has risen to the fore in Bergamo with Liverpool among the clubs interested. According to Tuttosport, Liverpool are impressed with Koopmeners and the Brazilian but the Reds are more focused on the 24-year-old.

In their report, the Italian outlet has claimed that Slot's side are the 'most dangerous' rival to Juventus for Koopmeiners, and as a result their director Cristiano Giuntoli is looking to accelerate a move to land the midfielder.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool are among the elite European clubs eyeing a move for Lille defender Leny Yoro as they look to strengthen their backline. There is a suggestion that a move for the defender would be dependent on the asking price from the Ligue 1 side.

The 18-year-old is considered as one of the most impressive central defenders in Europe and Yoro has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Liverpool have reportedly been actively counting the defender ahead of a possible move this summer.

No asking price has been slapped on the defender yet but reports have claimed he could be worth between £50million and £85million.
