New Liverpool kit 2018-19: Reds home shirt revealed by New Balance

Liverpool's 2017-18 campaign may still hold the promise of Champions League glory, but the club are already looking to the future with the release of their new kit for next season.

The Anfield club's shirt suppliers New Balance have unveiled the 2018-19 home strip as part of their 'This Means More' campaign. The new home kit is similar to this season's iteration, but there are a few subtle differences.

The shirt boasts a smart polo collar, while New Balance commemorates the 96 victims of the Hillsbrough disaster with the 96 emblem encased by eternal flames at the nape of the neck.

Sporting the Red Pepper kit, club captain Jordan Henderson said of the design: "The launch of our new kit is always really exciting.

"I really like that the colour has continued from last season, and the pattern gives it a really strong look. I am sure that the fans will really like and embrace it for next season."

The kit will also help Jurgen Klopp's men on the field as well, with the NB DRY technology keeping moisture away from the skin - presumably to keep the players fresh enough to follow the coach's high pressing tactics as games wear on.

"We’ve worked closely with LFC to create a kit which supports high performance on the pitch and is visually stunning as well. We are really looking forward to seeing what the club will achieve next season wearing the new kit."
