Liverpool Walton general election 2024 candidates

As safe seats tend to go, Liverpool Walton would be the dictionary definition.

The constituency, which covers the north of Liverpool and now stretches into parts of Aintree owing to boundary changes, has been held by Labour for six straight decades. Since 1992, the party has won at least 70% of the vote share in every general election.

The changes announced by the Boundary Commission mean that areas including Croxteth Park and Norris Green have moved into the constituency while Anfield and Everton have moved out. Voters in Fazakerley, Walton and Orrell Park are also joined by parts of Tuebrook and West Derby as part of the changes.
