Judi Love has 'set her sights' on being the presenter of a legendary primetime TV show, with the Loose Women putting herself i the frame for the job, as fans 'demand' its return.

Ahead of the Saturday Night Takeaway finale this weekend, comedian Judi and her Loose Women colleagues discussed the programmes they used to love watching with their families back in the day. And after mention of 3,2,1 and Morecambe & Wise, Judi said the show that stood out for her was Blind Date, the much loved Cilla Black show that was a huge ratings winner for ITV in the 80s and 90s.

Following Cilla's death in 2015, the show was resurrected and switched sides to Channel 5, where it was fronted by the late con's close friend Paul O'Grady and ran for two series. There has recently been talk of Blind Date coming back, with TV exec Dan Baldwin, the man behind the successful return of Gladiators, backing Claudia Winkleman as its new presenter.

However, as she talked about her love for the show, Judi threw her hat into the ring, having been tipped for the role by Loose Women co-star Nadia Sawalha, who asked Friday's studio audience: "Who thinks that Judi should be the next presenter?" with her question being greeted by loud applause and cheers from fans.

Reacting to the response, Judi commented: "I would absolutely love to do that. It was such a show, it was fantastic, she was phenomenal and it had all the family watching it. You could laugh as well, so I'm here if you want me."

After Kaye clocked that Judi even had her own little dance move for Blind date's famous theme tune, Judi remarked: "I used to love her and idolise her and I knew at the end she'd do that move; but I also used to love Surprise Surprise."
